中车集团宜昌4820工厂原系中国人民解放军第四八二零工厂，成立于1970年，2001年9月根据国务院、中央军委关于军队保障性企业移交地方管理的政策，被整体移交中国化工（集团）总公司，属国家国资委管理的特大型公司（集团）三级企业。工厂现有总资产8000万元，机械设计、开发、制造能力较强，拥有大、精机械加工设备近300台套，有职工近千人，各类专业技术人员200多人。主要产品有卷门机、喷涂机、车库门机、工业门机、防火电控箱、划线车、家用电器等，是全国最早研制和生产卷门机的企业。其中海狮牌系列卷门机是该厂八十年代引进先进技术开发的拳头产品，先后荣获全军优质产品、军队名牌产品、中华精品、中国优质名牌产品 （未完，全文请
